“Be your Boss” – Universiapolis Agadir

From February 25th to March 1st, 2020, the students of the LMI / LINP 2019 Summer School that took place in Nancy were the ambassadors of “Be your boss” at Universiapolis Agadir in Morocco. An event organised by the Lorraine Management Innovation Collegium allowing Moroccan students who participated in the summer school 2019 to find some of those who constituted this trans-disciplinary and multi cultural group during the summer of 2019.

“Be your boss” is a competition organised for several years by the Federation of Municipalities of the Pays Orne-Moselle in partnership with the University of Lorraine, PeeL and the IAE of Metz. The idea is simple, high school students have to present in video and in a creative way their business idea in social, sports, art or business. This year, the concept is being exported to Morocco at the Universiapolis of Agadir, a historical partner of the University of Lorraine.

Throughout the week, a group of students from the IAE of Metz and Nancy as well as two doctoral students from the Federal University of Rio do Norte in Brazil (who participate in the project of Anne Boyer’s IDMC team, Loria) coached high school students at Universiapolis. The students’ mission was to help high school students in the development of their idea / project and in the construction of their presentation. It was also for them a moment of discovery of Moroccan culture.

The project “Be your boss” was presented to Dominique Doudet, General Consul of France in Agadir. It was the opportunity for our students to participate in the opening of the Gauthier brothers’ photographic exhibition on the 1960 earthquake.

This week was full of reunions, meetings, exchanges and discoveries for these students!
